The arrival of a new member in the family is an occasion of joy for all. However, along with that joy come hoard of responsibilities. Choosing the bedding for your baby can be an overwhelming task, especially for first time parents. One of the most interesting things to do when you are expecting your child is decorating the room for the new arrival. On the other hand, strollers made of plastic or any other light weight material may be easy to maneuver but may not be durable. So, based on your need select the one that suits you best. In addition to this, look at the safety factor too. Make sure there are safety harnesses in place to safely hold the baby in it. Be thoughtful and have clarity on your needs and you will end up with the baby stroller that can prove to be the best friend for you and your baby.
I know a lot of parents who dread sending out their children to any place without them because they feel their child will not be well protected. While this may be true to a certain extent, there are some people who go overboard and take protectiveness to a whole new level. Overprotective parents can have a negative psychological effect on the child. Unexpected small issues just crop up from nowhere. What is required from both of you is the element of compromise. If you feel you have the weapon of ‘divorce’ to discipline your spouse, you are greatly mistaken. Divorce can be used only in very exceptional cases and courts are very choosy in granting it. Remember divorce can never be a solution as much as compromise and one who is inclined to compromise and continue with him/her without thinking of divorce, stands greater chance of saving the marriage.

In my last blog I got a chance to echo my thoughts on how women struggle to make the crucial decision of whether or not they can be working after they have a baby. As said earlier, it depends entirely on how comfortable you can be about staying at home. In many who decide to take it in their stride and decide to work, there is usually a little apprehension. If you have a spouse who supports your decision, half the problem is solved. They add a little confidence into your life and moving on gets easier. When you have a spouse who does not approve of your decision, it becomes difficult to make a choice being free of guilt. Women go through a series of changes after they step into motherhood. Some are decisions that just modify their life style and some decisions modify their life itself. One such decision that many women struggle to make is whether or not they need to be a working mother. I had no idea why this was spoken about so often, I only thought parenting is a much hyped up topic. It surely did not fall under my area of interest, not until I had my own baby and I had to be the “parent” finally. Now, the more I read about parenting, the more I want to read, because now I understand that parenting is beyond just letting your kids know what to do and what not to do! In the last post, I mentioned about the most basic tip for parenting, adaptability. Now, let me move further and talk about the other things that can be of importance to you in the formative years of your little ones. Raising children is definitely a fulfilling aspect; however, there is no school or institute that can prepare you for this. Most of the things are learned on the job while playing the role of a parent. The job just gets tougher as the child grows. There are certain things you may want to keep in mind during this phase. Do you know what the toughest job in the world is? Did you say running your own business is a challenging task? Or is being a CEO the toughest task? Well, actually none of these! Yes, it is true. The most challenging job in the world is being a parent. Being elevated to this role in life is a great joy, however, with that comes a lot of responsibilities too. Being a parent is not a nine hour job. It is a 24 hour job with no holidays even on the most special days of your life! But, that is where the joy lies, isn’t it?
“Am I right with what I’m doing?”, “Is it right to feed her this food at such a young age?”, “Gosh! I think she is having teething problems, wish I could do something about it!” sounds familiar right? These seem to be the only thoughts that a mom can think of all through the day. And if it is your first baby, God save you because any decision you make will be decorated with the “Should I” or “Should I Not?” tag.
