Different strokes for different folks! Did you know that there are a myriad of strollers for babies these days? Each one is designed for a specific purpose based on the needs of the baby and the parents. Each of these strollers comes with their own set of advantages and drawbacks. Unfortunately, most parents are not aware of this and hence end up picking up the wrong type of stroller.
This blog will cover the pros and cons of some of the most commonly chosen strollers. Let us first tell you about the “umbrella” stroller. This particular stroller is a light weight stroller weighs just 15 lbs or less. It is easy to carry and folds comfortably; however, since they have poor padding and lack the reclining facility they are not suitable for newborns.
The standard baby strollers score over the umbrella stroller when it comes to durability and strength. These strollers also come with increased suspension and seat padding that is washable. Most parents who brought quality standard strollers for their first child used it for their second off-spring also. However, the drawback with this type of stroller is that it is heavier than the umbrella stroller and not the right option if you want to travel with it.
For those moms who like to be in shape even after babies, there are the jogging strollers. They can take their baby and strap it up while they jog around the park. These strollers are light weight models with good suspension and can easily maneuver through any type of terrain. However, these strollers are long and don’t fold compactly. If you intend to carry your newborn in it, this stroller is a wrong choice.
